Summer Services

Posted by Tamima Khan, July 19, 2019

Now is the Summer of your discontent

After a gloomy winter, we all look forward to longer, warmer days. But for those who work in an office environment, Summer is definitely not all sweetness and light.

As climate change really begins to bite, higher temperatures and increasing humidity turn a day at work into an ordeal for your employees – especially since the environmental cost of air conditioning is becoming apparent. Quite apart from the sheer discomfort, such conditions provide a breeding ground for bacteria. And unless you are scrupulously disposing of waste, it will quickly attract insects and other pests.

There are other downsides to the ‘working summer’, too. The increase in pollen and dust is nowadays well-advertised in weather forecasts and can be a cause of real misery for those susceptible to allergies. And of course, if your premises include green areas and driveways, the summer months are the growing season for weeds and shrubs.

Glenn: twenty summers of specialist experience

More than twenty years of experience have made Glenn Management acutely aware of these problems – and of how to address them. For instance, we constantly research and test new cleaning products as they come onto the market, and by using ‘green’ alternatives to chemicals, we can substantially reduce the likelihood of allergic reactions among employees.

We also offer a landscaping service to keep your approaches and surrounding areas in great shape throughout the year. We mow lawns, remove weeds from drives and borders, prune hedges and larger plants, all according to your particular needs.

Of course, one of the more annoying aspects of summer weather is that dust and stains that have built up over the year suddenly become more visible! So now is a good time to consider a ‘deep clean’ of your premises, to remove even the most resistant marks and stains on your carpets and to eliminate the general dirt and dust that, as well as being unsightly, are the prime causes of allergic reactions in the office.

We can also eradicate pest infestations and advise on the most effective means of waste disposal, both general and recyclable.

And so…

…whether your premises require a one-off summer ‘blitz clean’ or an on-going arrangement that provides regular cleaning and/or grounds maintenance, Glenn Cleaning & Support Services are proven experts in the field.
