Prior to the award, ACO experienced considerable difficulty meeting their cleaning requirements, in part due to their rural location, and in part due to the difficulty in attracting part time staff to fulfill short working shifts at unsociable hours where public transport is non-existent.

Glenn’s solution to the recruitment and staffing difficulty was to introduce full time daytime cleaning. This involved working closely with ACO senior management to prepare their staff for the change; communicating the benefits and impact of this change and creating an environment where a successful change would be welcomed by all.
